OLISI PARES

SYNOPSIS  

The ordinary life of a young arnis student and "taho"(soya drink vendor), David turned to a once-in-a-lifetime adventure after he chanced upon a unique pair of wooden baton(olisi) from the pile of garbage that bore the markings of its legendary owner, Eskrima Grandmaster, Apo Bentong.  From the dirty and worn-out pages of a comicbook his old homeless friend, Manoy Onik. read to him together with street children every night, the fictional folklore hero, Olisi Pares and his pair of olisis, marked, “Pax et Fides” became a reality through David’s find.  His dream of becoming an olisi champion was in his hands. However, David soon discovered there was more to his accidental finding of the pair of olisis.  The disciple of darkness, Sirum, now part of the reality, was a menace to his goals. The struggle between good and evil ensued. Against his will, David had to accomplish perilous tasks as the folklore hero, Olisi Pares where the previous owner failed to achieve, in conquering Sirum’s evil influences of the seven (7) deadly capital sins.   

With the help of a blind girl, Ela and her brother, Tonyo, our hero fought and struggled in overcoming Sirum’s constant harassment to destroy “Pax et Fides” and also prevent him from attaining his ultimate goal.
